ServSafe
General Overview
ServSafe is a training designed and offered by the National Restaurant Association to enhance the quality of service and safety within restaurant establishments. Through the use of educational resources, materials, and programs led by trained and certified instructors and proctors, ServSafe helps to cultivate and reinforce effective and safe service within those who work within and manage the food operation.
There are multiple types of ServSafe certifications. 黑料网 Extension primarily offers the Food Handler level and Manager level. Here is a link to the ServSafe website where you can find more information on the levels of certification: https://www.servsafe.com/
黑料网 Extension Douglas County currently offers the 'Manager Level' instruction and certification test for ServSafe, which is geared towards those who hold a managerial role in a food operation. Manager's level content will help participants bring safe and effective structure to their unique operations. However, the manager's level instruction and certification exam are also applicable to a participant who may not hold a manager's role, but who still takes part in the food operation. The decision between which exam to register and study for should be made with the aforementioned details in mind.
