Ashley Best serves as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent for Newton County. Her work focuses on equine education, pasture and forage management, and providing research-based support to local landowners, farmers, and backyard growers. Ashley offers farm visits, soil and forage testing, educational workshops, and hands-on guidance to help the community make informed decisions about sustainable agriculture. With a strong background in equine and a passion for connecting people to practical resources, she is committed to supporting the growth and resilience of Newton County’s agricultural community.

After the presentation, participants will roll up their sleeves and build their own composting unit to take home. This simple, cost-effective design is perfect for backyards of any size and will help reduce household waste while creating a valuable resource for your soil.

Whether you're new to the show ring or looking to fine-tune your skills, this clinic offers expert coaching in a supportive and fun environment. Here is what to expect: - Learn correct body position and cues - Pattern execution and ring etiquette - Rider effectiveness and communication with the horse - Judge expectations and scoring - Personalized feedback for your on-pattern run Our expert judge will be Randy Warthen. Randy is a respected APHA breeder and judge from Covington, Georgia, with over 30 years in the Paint Horse industry. You must register by October 7th, 2025 Lunch will be provided to all registrants.
