Aug 28 Henry County Extension Master Naturalist Program Henry County Extension is sponsoring the Georgia Master Naturalist program this fall, which is a series of weekly programs with specific environmental topics that is hands-on environmental exploring habitats and ecosystems in Georgia and how human activity impacts on those environments. This program is a combination of lectures and both indoors and outdoors hands-on learning through field studies and relevant resources. An informed person can help make changes in their lives as well as their community and safeguard the environment. After completing this fun and interactive program, Georgia Master Naturalists are encouraged to share their knowledge with their communities by volunteering in local schools or nature centers. The program covers diverse topics such as insects and pollinators, geology, soil science, native and invasive plants, wildlife, stream ecology, and other topics. See attached agenda.
