Apply now to serve as a 4-H Volunteer with Richmond County 4-H!
Requirements:
Adult volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers working with youth must complete a volunteer application online, supply 3 non-related references, pass a background check, complete an Adult Code of Conduct agreement and complete the online training, Georgia 4-H: Working with Youth & Managing Risk.
Volunteer drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle screening (included in volunteer application).

Sep 13 Richmond County 4-H Gardening Club Our Mission Statement: The purpose of youth gardening is to introduce gardening, conservation, protection of wildlife, recognition of plants, trees, and shrubs, basic flowering, and a love and appreciation of nature. The goal is that they will be future citizens who will be responsible and capable with greater self-expression, dignity, integrity, and knowledge of their environment. We are dedicated to growing minds in a stimulating, secure, and privileged environment through our high-quality, early-learning enrichment classes prior to planting any seeds. Richmond County 4-H Gardening Club is open to 4th-12th grade students who are interested in learning more about gardening and pollinators. The club is led by Augusta Area Master Gardener, Ms. Joy Brown. The club meets once a month on a Saturday morning, 8:00am-9:30am, at 2473 Golden Camp Rd., Augusta, GA. We will learn about different local species and basic fishing steps. Fishing Club will meet one Saturday per month, 8:00am-11:00am at Spirit Creek Farm, 4010 Smokey Road, Hephzibah, GA 30815. Fishing Club will meet in September, October, November, January, February, March, April and May, except for cancellations due to inclement weather. Oct 11 4-H and FFA Horsemanship/ Equitation Clinic Join us for a hands-on learning experience with your horse designed to build confidence, polish riding skills, and sharpen horsemanship for youth riders! Whether you're new to the show ring or looking to fine-tune your skills, this clinic offers expert coaching in a supportive and fun environment. Here is what to expect: - Learn correct body position and cues - Pattern execution and ring etiquette - Rider effectiveness and communication with the horse - Judge expectations and scoring - Personalized feedback for your on-pattern run Our expert judge will be Randy Warthen. Randy is a respected APHA breeder and judge from Covington, Georgia, with over 30 years in the Paint Horse industry. You must register by October 7th, 2025 Lunch will be provided to all registrants. Additional lunches will be $5.
